This is the place if you want the best of the south of France!!
My husband and two children just returned from a delightful vacation staying in this apartment which offers the best in location and flavor of the area.
The location can't be beat. The street, which is the pedestrian area of old Villefranche, has fabulous cafes and is one block from the port. Staying here gives you a true feeling of what it would be like to live in a small French town.
Villefranche is perfectly situated to explore the region. One afternoon we were swimming in the sea and the next morning we were skiing in the Alps. What more could you want. We even took the overnight ferry and were able to spend several days in Corsica - an island that everyone needs to visit!
The apartment is beautifully done and provides everything you need. There is even a small bench overlooking the port about 50 feet from the front door - there is no better place to enjoy the view at the end of the day. I highly recommend this vacation!

We took our two teenage boys to Villefranche-sur-Mer with us, and your flat was every thing that we needed for a great vacation: it's spacious, clean, and we wish we had that nice of a kitchen in our home. The town is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to, and has more great restaurants than we could sample in one week. It's close to a lot of great day trip locations, and the flat is very close to the train station and bus stop. We'd love to go back some day!

Thank you for sharing your flat in Villefranche with us! We arrived at the train station and were relieved to discover that the flat was a few minutes walk right down the road. It was so convenient, we went on a .day trip. at least every other day, riding the train to different towns along the coast.
The flat itself had plenty of room for our family and we felt right at home. Over the three weeks when we weren't on the beach or exploring, we spent a lot of time relaxing in the flat while our two boys made endless LEGO creations. Sorry, none of the masterpieces was left! Actually, to let my feet recover from all the walking, I went through the loads of tourist information you had stocked up on. We planned most of our day trips based on the information and books you provided in the flat. Thank you!
I know we have talked many times, but I don't think I shared with you that one of our family.s goals is to live in a town where you can walk everywhere. So for three weeks we were locals and enjoyed every minute of strolling to the local shops, restaurants, the Citadel and museums, the tasty boulangerie/patisserie up the hill, the internet cafe the best Happy Hour in town, and of course our little grocer (bring your own bag).
Thank you for the great memories and hopefully you will see us again in the future! We got very familiar with Villefranche over our visit. If any future clients would like to contact us to ask about restaurants or excursions or what things we should have packed.

This apartment in Villefranche was the perfect base for my family's stay in France. Although the building is over 300 years old, the apartment itself has been thoroughly modernised and it is comfortable and quiet. Its location is convenient for walking to the beach and to shops and for catching the bus or train; we never needed to rent a car to visit other towns on the Cote D'Azur. The rent is frankly less than we were paying to stay at our usual rental at the beach on the East Coast of the US, and the surroundings were certainly more interesting and beautiful. Eating meals prepared in our own kitchen saved us a lot of money. I would highly recommend this rental property.

We took our three daughters over Spring Break, March, 2008. The apartment and Villefranche were the perfect home base for us. We loved walking down the street to get breakfast at the boulangerie every morning. We used the kitchen quite a bit, mostly breakfasts and dinners. It took us a couple of days to realize that there was satellite TV, but we were so glad when we did. We were ready to hear some news in English! The DVD movie selection provided was perfect for our family viewing and pertained to the area. We did rent a car, which we had to try to find parking each evening--free, by the Citadel. It was a short walk to the apartment. You may want to have someone pull a little closer to the apartment to drop off luggage instead of wheeling it to the apartment from the Citadel. It was lovely having a washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment had all the little niceties that you didn't have to buy: salt/pepper, coffee & filters, sugar, tea bags, etc. Look for the reusable grocery bags inside the wall cupboard--you'll need to take them with you when going to the Casino Marches. We loved going to market days in Villefranche, and other cities. The Apartment was very accomodating for five and we would definetly stay there again. We wouldn't want to redo the trip or accomodations in anyway. Well, except make sure that we ate lunch by 3:00 p.m. everyday! If you don't eat lunch between 1:00-3:00p.m. you'll be hungry until 7:30 p.m. or 8:00 when the restaurants are ready for dinner! Maxi's Pizza is a great backup when you are too tired to go out or cook!

What a wonderful vacation! Many friends have asked for the contact information based on our description.
The bed was so comfortable-best sleep I've had in years in the quiet flat. I've decided to buy a European bed. The location couldn't be better - the heart of a quaint oceanside village. Every time we stepped out I would take pictures, even of the same scenes again and again because they were so beautiful and different with the morning, afternoon and evening light. In the morning I would walk a block to the bakery and get fresh bread. Not down the street but down a cute stone pathway - like walking down a scene in a painting.
Ville Franche and the other quaint villages we visited by train are so quaint and all in wonderful pastel colors. There must a law requiring the shutters to be green or blue because they were everywhere. The buildings are extremely rustic but the interiors are modern. The flat was beautiful. A great place to come to at the end of every day. It was the best of both worlds. I didn't want to come back.

My wife and I, along with our 2 daughters spent 8 wonderful nights in Villefranche. The apartment exceeded all our expectations. The weather was quite warm, but the AC units in the bedrooms made sleeping comfortable. The apartment is beautifully, and tastefully decorated and has everything you could ask for. It really felt like home. Each morning, I wondered to the local bakery (2 min walk) and picked up breakfast. Just about everything is within a 10 minute walk. We look forward to visiting Villefranche and staying in your beautiful apartment soon.

We just got back from spending two wonderful weeks in France, one in Ville Franche-sur-mer and the other in Paris. Our stay in the south was incredible. The apartment was exactly what we wanted. Situated in a small village, yet close to all the attractions. The apartment was clean, modern, spacious and well equiped. Located on a quiet pedestrian street, yet close to the beach and local shops and restaurants - it was a perfect location. Having a kitchen really helped, especially with breakfast. It was also nice to have the DVDs so that we could unwind after a day of sight seeing. The AC was useful a couple of nights when it was a little hot. Living with the locals was so much more enjoyable that staying at a hotel. We rented a car, and there was no problem finding parking at the citadel or on the street just behind. The location was perfect for day trips around this part of France. I'd highly recommend this rental. What a wonderful trip.

We couldn't be happier with our stay here - the location was perfect! Villefranche is beautiful and romantic and with the train station just a 5 minute stroll away that can whisk you to all the sights of the French Riviera, who could ask for more? Be forewarned though, you may never want to leave! If you should decide to venture out though, after a busy day of sightseeing, it was lovely to retire to a clean, comfortable flat with all the comforts of home. Our host could not have been more gracious, answering all our questions about the region and offering great travel tips of her own. There is also a property manager locally in case you have a problem with anything (we didn't). We can't wait to return, and hope to do so soon and often.

We spent Christmas 2008 in Villefranche sur mer. Great location, clean, well equiped. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. We got lucky with bright weather. Walk to everything from this apartment - beach, bakery, grocery, restaurants. Highly recommend this apartment and location in picture perfect village. Owner and property manager a pleasure to deal with. Great service everything ran smoothly.

I’m a little late posting this. Our family of five visited Germany, France & Italy this past June 2008. The week we spent in Villefranche was the most relaxing and enjoyable leg of our journey by far. Spent a few days at the beach just soaking it all in – pretty easy walk & the kids couldn't get enough time in the clean, clear, warm water. We started each day walking left from the flats entrance a few steps to take in the spectacular view of the harbor; then off to the bakery or butcher etc. to pick up the fresh local offerings. Used the very functional kitchen quite a bit and everything worked well. Plenty of room for the five of us. The beds were comfortable and the dining area, laundry, wireless Internet & television were convenient and user friendly. The location proved to be a great pivot point for our day trips to Monaco, then Nice and other points west. So glad we chose this apartment in Villefranche over much larger and impersonal locations like Nice and Monaco. Villefranche is really a magical place and we look forward to coming back to this great apartment.

Myself and my long suffering husband spent a 4 day break in Villefranche sur mer in early May. The photos on the website are very accurate and the place is spotless and excellently furnished. This apartment offers the best of both worlds. Situated close to the waterfront in the old town, it has neither the noise of traffic nor the bluster of the great restaurants on the waterfront. Yet, the beach and these same restaurants are just a stones throw away. We landed at Nice airport and got the 98 bus and 80 bus the V'franche and were 35 minutes in transit. The local train station (with its magical train ride thru' Cannes, Antibes, Monaco) are 3 minutes from your door.
A perfect place for a car-less trip to this wonderful area- without the headache of parking. The owners are really helpful and the whole experience was very pleasant adding to great break away.
Highly recommended!

A beautifully appointed apartment on a quiet street in the Vielle Ville. The rooms are spacious, very comfortably and completely furnished. Best of all, the place was very, very clean (big deal for me). Tired travelers when we arrived, we felt very welcome and well cared-for (the complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us was soothing, indeed). Everything was just as advertised. We loved walking around the old town, heading to the bakery first thing in the day for provisions and generally soaking up the life of this picturesque village.
We made all our arrangements online, for the booking, deposits and security. If this gives you pause, our experience is that the owners of this apartment were responsive, timely and people of their word. I would gladly work with them again to arrange a vacation rental.
Villefranche provides the best of both worlds: easy access by bus to Nice and other urban locations and the pleasures of a small village set in a more secluded cove. Don't miss the perched villages just north of Nice.

UNBELIEVABLE PLACE! Even better than the photos!
We could not believe how big it was, how cozy,
clean, welcoming, close to everything, QUIET, and
just the best place to stay in Villefranche sur Mer!
We kept saying over and over how thankful we were
that we booked this place. We are going back to
this place FOR SURE!

It was my great pleasure to spend ten nights in
this property in early March 2008. I highly
recommend it. Centrally located in Ville Franche
within a 5-10 minute walk to the train station,
restaurants, grocery, beach, pubs, and news stand
yet on a very quiet and safe pedestrian street. The
apartment is well maintained, fully equipped,
clean, quiet, and comfortable. I slept like a
contented baby!! I had great fun shopping and
preparing meals in the beautiful kitchen area.
Public bus service (an easy ten minute walk)
provided frequent connections to Nice and Monte
Carlo. Ville Franche is away from the crowds but
with easy transportation access if you feel you
must be in the mix. But, my recommendation is to
just chill and drink in the sites and relaxed
atmosphere in Ville Franche. I would also note
that the owner was a pleasure to work with in
arranging my booking.

What a great place to call "home" while visiting the
French Riviera. We loved it! It was so comfortable;
from the wonderful kitchen to the apropos DVDs we
watched occasionally.
We cooked dinner almost every night in the well-
equipped kitchen, shopped at the little Casino
market down the street for groceries and loved the
bakery up the hill just past the church.
Villefranche is such a quaint, picturesque village.
We couldn't have asked for a better location. We
parked our car up at the Citadel and made the short
walk down to the apartment. From Monte Carlo to
St. Tropez, we saw so much but, it was always great
to come back to this lovely "home".
This aprtment made our trip so much more
memorable. We give it a "two thumbs up!"
